Seven Sisters Seize Suetonius' Size Sixteen Sandals

There I've got your attention now!

Anyway I was tagged by Fat, Frumpy and Fifty a wee while ago with the

'The One Sweet Blog' award and it comes with a tag for a meme - a '7's meme.

VII Things which I plan to do before I die:

i. get to a wise old age without going gaga

ii. learn to live and think in the "now"

iii. spend my/our money more wisely
iv. save my/our money more sagaciously
v. read even more voraciously
vi. go and watch the English cricket team on tour in a very hot place (unlikely to happen now!!)
vii. declutter (and write a book or two...just thought I'd sneak that in....)

VII Things which I do now:
i. worry
ii. go round turning lights off
iii. tut at the mess and dog hairs
iv. think about cleaning the car
v. think about cleaning the house
vi. go round closing doors
vii. procrastinate

VII Things which I can't do:
i. tapdance
ii. speak Mandarin
iii. play the piano (as it is elsewhere)
iv. read other people's minds
v. knit or crochet
vi. get up early (to go jogging)
vii. not blog

VII Things which attract me in the opposite sex (Not sure what this means exactly...attract me "to" the opposite sex or does it mean how the opposite sex might be attracted to me?...Sorry! turning into Lynne Truss/John Humphreys/Jeremy Paxman now!!):
i. books
ii. newspapers
v. good food
vi. laughter
vii. a sense of direction
(perhaps the answers are interchangeable...although hubbie might dispute the last one! I believe that I do have a pretty good sense of direction except underwater!)

VII Things which I say most often:
i."I think that...(then trail off into silence)..."
ii. "I mean" (in the middle of a conversation which heralds a huge change in subject then expecting the other person to know immediately what I am talking about)
iii. "eat your food!"
iv. "shut that door"
v. "put the lights out!"
vi. "tidy up!"
vii. "you'll be sorry!"
(Am usually ignored on items iii. - vii.)

VII "Celebrities" that (whom) I admire:
They'd be shocked to be described thus but here they are:
i. Humphrey Bogart
ii. Lauren Bacall
iii. John Thaw
iv. Morecambe (and Wise)
v. IT Botham
vi. Hadrian
vii. Gene Kelly

VII Favourite foods:
i. good beef casserole
ii. pan haggerty
iii. pain au chocolat
iv. crunchy peanut butter
v. bacon sarnie
vi. cheese and onion toastie
vii. Moody's rye bread (see Hadriana's diet blog)

VII Bloggers who are not obliged to do this if they don't want to:
i. Lakeland Jo
ii. Reluctant Memsahib
iii. Keep Bloggering On!
iv. Nappy Valley Girl
v. Mom/Mum Wars
vi. A Confused Take That Fan
vii. Sandi at (Holding Patterns)

Right that's done! Over to you....

Good collection of things about you, Hadriana. I know lots of people are not keen to do memes but I think they really provide an insight into fellow bloggers' dreams, hopes, fears and recipes.

Congrats on another lovely award

Lakeland Jo said...

I will do it. Do we get the award for doing it or am I just being greedy?

Mom/Mum said...

Congrats on the award and thanks for tagging me. I will do it. I love getting to know more about my bloggy friends with these. Thanks HT!

Thank you French Fancy. I think this may be the last one I do (I've only done two (!!). So I can understand how people feel about them (for/against)).

Yes - Jo - you do get the award and no, you are not being greedy...sorry did I not say that?

Thank you and Good luck Mom/Mum!

I really enjoy doing memes on occasion. This one is different enough to be able to look forward you get an award! Yeahhh...oh, yes and congratulations on your Sweet award, too!
Thanks for tapping me...course I may be saying that thru gritted teeth later on.
hugs to you pal

One thing you forgot to list: bringing the clan over to my place for a great Aussie BBQ

Sandi, look forward to seeing yours...I guess you'll be freer in style than I have been. I'm just wary of giving away too much as I'll have to reveal our identities/location at some point! (Sounds as if we are living under police protection!!)

David, that's a very sweet offer. Hope we can take you up on that some time. The English cricket team is under a lot of flak due to coming back from India that bit early. (Terrible, terrible news coming from your "home" country. Here's hoping that some good will come from all that bad stuff. Sorry to end on a not so light note!)

Verification that I dropped by.

PS: David - You are more than welcome to stay here either with or without your clan once we've got the B&B up and running or alternatively you could take your chances with what we've got now! We do have a BBQ that hasn't been christened yet but we are still waiting for the right weather...

YP...thanks for popping along. I must admit I did not feel really inspired when I did this meme so that's why I'll steer clear of them from now on! You're welcome to come to the BBQ as well. Maybe I should have a BBQ bloggers united!

It is interesting to see the varied responses to this 7 meme.
"Newspapers" - what all of them, or just specific ones?
I'm also glad to hear you're in no danger of falling into the kitchen sink.

Hadriana's Treasures said...

Hello that because of...:

1. good sense of direction?
2. not going gaga?
3. a combination of both?
4. or all of the above combined with a phobia of kitchens?

Also specific newspapers which I am not at liberty to divulge!!!

Hadriana's Treasures said...

I'm joking, Troy! :) as you can probably guess....

Interesting things you have listed there, Hadriana but very interesting things that you CAN'T do!

Hadriana's Treasures said...

Hello there Maggie...funnily enough this meme has made me think about the space outside the box rather than what's in the box...if that makes any sense whatsoever!!!

I think this is me rebelling yet again. There might be a faint chance of me growing up one day but it's unlikely! :)

Thanks, Hadriana - I promise I will do it at some point!

Like the list of things you say...

Hadriana's Treasures said...

No pressure, Nappy Valley Girl,...I know we've all got a billion, zillion things to do. If I were you (just a thought) you could play with it/meddle with it. Why not seven best songs? seven worst songs? seven types of bangers? The choice is your oyster...

Saz said...

thanks very much for doing this....and very interesting and of course so funny too!!
